Veiga Grande Estate
Located in the Teja Valley, the estate got its name from the Teja brook, which cross it.
Council of Vila Nova de Foz Côa, in the Upper Douro, it is the oldest of the family estates with a planted area of 18 ha of classic vineyard.
A privileged location, where we can gather the knowledge invested by the family in handling vineyards. Here, one finds the native varieties of the Douro Wine Region, including Tinta Barroca, Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and a mixture of varieties in old vineyards, which give origin to red wines.
For the production of white wines, Quinta da Veiga has an excellent mixture of varieties in old vineyards, although a few other varieties are found planted separately, among which Viosinho, Malvasia Fina, Malvasia Rei, Verdelho, Códega, Rabo de Ovelha.
